ABOUT THE APARTMENT
Welcome to a beautiful and traditionally furnished home in a portered block close to the River Thames in Chelsea. This ground floor apartment, with floors of elegant real wood and plantation shutters throughout, has recently been lovingly restored to a very high standard. The size of the rooms in this purpose-built red brick building are particularly generous, so if you're looking for easy-to-access, high quality, and genuinely spacious serviced accommodation in London, you've just found it.
THE LIVING ROOM AND DINING AREA
The impressive size of this space is typical of all the rooms in this apartment. Which of the two comfortable sofas will be your favourite place to sit and chat, read or watch the television that gives you access to satellite TV services? The nearby decorative fireplace is flanked by well stocked bookcases and the living area shares this space with a formal dining area, an ideal place for everyone to gather to mark a special family or friends' occasion.
THE KITCHEN
Marvel at the stunning high quality gloss finish in here, with granite work surfaces and high spec appliances making the preparation of snacks and meals a real pleasure. The room is large enough to fit the apartment's second dining table which easily seats 6, so you won't have far at all to carry your plates of delicious food. There is also a wall-mounted television in here.
THE FIRST DECKED TERRACE
Accessed from the kitchen and the twin bedroom, here's one of the two outside spaces that will be all yours for the duration of your stay.
THE SECOND DECKED TERRACED
This is accessed from the single bedroom, so whoever sleeps in here can throw open the doors every morning and let the outside in. What a wonderful way to wake up.
THE 3 BEDROOMS
Take your pick from a trio of beautifully presented havens in this most luxurious of houses. The bedroom with the superkingsize is next to the living area and features a gloriously comfortable bed, along with a huge selection of closet storage spaces. There's plenty of storage space too in the twin bedroom at the opposite end of the house. This also has access to an ensuite bathroom on one side, and one of the decked terraces on the other. The third bedroom with the single bed and trundle has access to the other terrace, and closet storage space of its own.
THE 3 BATHROOMS
As well as the ensuite in the twin room, there's a shower room with WC and wash basin just outside the double bedroom, and another bathroom in the centre of the apartment. So no one need wait long to get ready to go out for the day or the evening when you stay here. Towels will be provided by the A Place Like Home team in all of the bathrooms for all guests.
REMOTE WORKING
If any or all guests have work to do, there are plenty of tables and chairs around the house where you can get your laptops out and settle down. And, of course, the entire apartment is served by a great wifi connection.
THE LOCAL AREA
The apartment is located on Flood Street, which runs off the King's Road, one of London's most iconic addresses, with plenty of boutiques and eateries to delight you. Head in the opposite direction and you'll reach the River Thames via the Chelsea Embankment. Why not cross the Albert Bridge - one of London's most attractive bridges - and head into Battersea Park on the other side of the water. It's just one of the many attractions you can easily reach from the apartment. Others include:
The Physic Gardens (created in1673, as an Apothecaries' Garden).
The Saatchi Gallery near Sloane Square
The Royal Court Theatre
The Farmers Market at the Duke of Yorks Square
Knightsbridge (for Harrods)
South Kensington
Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens
The Museums
GETTING AROUND
Plenty of London's red bus routes serve the area near the apartment (especially the King's Road). So this gives you a great way to get around London. If you prefer your transport more private, you should have little trouble finding a black taxi for hire in the area. Or your can get on your device and arrange an Uber.
Sloane Square is the nearest London Underground station to the apartment and is about a 15 minute walk away. From there you can catch District Line and Circle Line services to places such as Notting Hill, Paddington, Westminster, and the City of London. You can also get to Southfields for the Wimbledon tennis on selected District Line services.
